Gracie Wilson is your average 27 year old. Down on her luck after being laid off from her dead end job and forced to move back in with her parents again, the future seems bleak. That is until she stumbles across a job posting for a wealthy anonymous family looking for someone to teach their 16 year old English. What's the harm in applying? The catch is she will need to move from her small Southern American town to the bustling city of Paris, France. Is this her first time out of the country? Yes! Does she know what she is getting herself into? No. Does she even speak French? She is working on it. Gracie Wilson is ready to begin an adventure she never anticipated. She will make new friends, experiences, and maybe even find love.
This is just a silly lighthearted modern AU where there is no fire, no magical canvases, and EVERYONE lives.

For the ungodly number of books they have in the house, Maman is not terribly interested in literature. Alicia finds it strange. Almost defensively, she says, “Sketches, too. It’s not all writing.”
Maman sets her pencil down, arching a brow. Her eyes widen, taking in Alicia’s appearance. “What have you been—” she sputters, reaching out to pluck stray leaves from her hair. At least one twig, too. She holds the latter in front of her face. “Do we need more interesting groundcover to keep you out of the trees?”

It has already been two months since the downfall of Lumiere. Construction and chaos cover the streets, expressing a chance for a better future. A chance to live in peace, without the heavy burden of the paintress lying on the backs of many.
The last expedition has now moved on, continuing to pursue a life they thought they may never have.
Yet disaster strikes as Lumiere is suddenly attacked and Verso and Lune find themselves in a strange situation. One where they cannot leave each other without consequence.
The team must regroup, discover a way to rid of such a curse as Lune and Verso attempt to mend what was once broken.
