    Humans are born sharing their soul with another. They don't have matching marks, or anything physical like that. One day you'll meet them, and you'll just know - like how a mother can always pick out the sound of her child's voice out of multitudes.

    It's a tricky thing though, sharing a soul. Once you meet your soulmate, you need to keep a balance, because souls are fluid, and soulmates in balance are cups half full. If one person is more invested than the other, if they give too much of themselves without reciprocation, their cup begins to empty. They will become weary, maybe even depressed. They will lose their joy of life and their world will dim.

    Or, a quick BakuDeku fic because I like this take on the soulmate AU and I'm in a kind of mood. CW for kind of suicidal thoughts but not really.
