Ahsoka starts having bad feelings about the war and returns to Anakin for help. But after years of loneliness and frustration with the Jedi, he sees her return as a chance to escape. But reuniting changes a lot about their relationship and suddenly selfish desires to live and not carry the weight of the world on their shoulders sends them off on a spiraling adventure and puts them in unprecedented danger when they discover that the mysterious Sith the council can't find turns out to have a plan for Anakin and definitely doesn't appreciate them digging to uncover who is behind the war and why. Their good intentions get sidetracked for personal pleasure but ultimately end up criminalized, so the question remains; will they get to the bottom of what's really going on? Or will they go down in flames?

Summary
The Jedi Order prides itself on its (theoretically) very high number of betas (if someone actually did the math, they'd find the percentage comparable to the general population). Betas, so much more balanced than needy omegas or, Force forbid, demanding alphas. Pack bonds outside the Order are strictly forbidden. Pack bonds within the Order are expected to be flexible, fluid, easily shifted in the extreme. Impermanent - especially between Master and Padawan. After all, attachment is a quick path to the dark side. This creates a level of separation between the Jedi and the rest of the galaxy, and most believe that distance is a good thing.
At age sixteen, months into the Clone War, gifted Jedi initiate Ahsoka Tano presents as an alpha. It explains a lot; the fiery temper, the resistance to authority. To the great annoyance of both of them, she is assigned as Padawan to Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One, an omega, and someone the Council also has trouble controlling. The idea is to fight fire with fire, and maybe they'll burn each other out.
