In the wake of his Grandfather’s failing health, Lucerys and his family spend a holiday at King’s Landing—a great, crumbling manor in the countryside.
Something has been visiting Lucerys at night—with nothing more than touching and bruises left on his thighs come morning. But when thirst cannot be slaked by anything else, he soon finds out: more than blood, monsters often develop a taste for tears.
Lucerys doesn’t intend to find out what else.

Top of the line. Elite. Stunner. Ergonomic. The seat height raises to over sixty inches to be compatible with most standing desks. Sleek design and all, it uses mattress technology to cushion the fattest of asses. At least, that’s what Dream gathers from the embedded youtube video and the laundry list of descriptions and specs on the product page.
To Dream, it’s an abomination.
“I want it,” George says definitively.
Dream caves in and buys a new computer chair for George. Dream decides he wants to test it out…while George plays MCC. It should be fine in front of ten-thousand people, right?

Dream thumbs over the tiny, faint moles on George's back; he counts nine of them. A scatterplot that runs exponentially upwards, linear cluster—dot dot dot. Like an explorer pouring over a map, his fingers trace and press into each one, as if charting a course that only he gets to see.
George gets sick but refuses Dream's help. Dream can't help himself anyway.

With the events leading to Storm's End, Lucerys refuses let Aemond drag him down into the sea.

One of the most beautiful fics I had ever read. Both characters are well-developed and have the best characterization. I understood both of their motivations so well and I think the writing did an excellent job of that. Tense. Slow and seared. This fic lives in my mind rent-free. The hurt/comfort in this is achingly wonderful. The prose is gorgeous and I don't think I'll ever tire of this fic. The psychological component scratches an itch in my brain. From the Stockholm Syndrome to the psychological toll it takes on both characters, by the end, you're left breathless. It couldn't have ended any better.

The most incredible series of beautiful DNF vignettes that I will read over and over. Each fic is a dish cooked and crafted with love. It's not meant to be fancy high-brow food, but it's no less gourmet and nostalgic. It recapture my love of fic writing and love of language. I gorge on these fics like a comfort food. Ever the filthy food critic, there's meals I dream of recapturing the memory of for the first time: that is what Preytall's fics do for me.
