Maple, a young girl, who wants nothing more than to master the arcane and is often bullied at school because of it, gets gifted a game from her only friend, Risa, a talented gamer who was once also subject to those bullies, only recently gaining respect through her gaming trophies.
She plays the game, and while her first reaction is annoyance, she is quickly hooked.
She takes on a role that many have joked her to have in a different universe, not through a wish for vengeance, but instead, through a drive of compassion, forged into a weapon that her enemies would quickly learn to fear, and her allies, to rely on.
The Black Rose shall bloom, and true vengeance shall be wrought upon all those who dare hurt another soul.
