“I don’t like being God.” Jack confesses, “Even with Amara and all the angels, it’s lonely. I want to give my powers over to her, perfect harmony, and come back home. Before I can do that, I think I need to make good on what I said to him.”
“Are you saying-?” He can’t bring himself to say it, afraid to be wrong. If he’s wrong he knows he’ll continue to do what he does best, figure it the fuck out, but he’s just so tired of things being difficult.
He hopes for it to be this simple, if only just this once.

“Are you trying to get killed, Potter?” Malfoy drawls, stalking forward. Quick as a serpent himself, he reaches out and grabs the snake just below the head. It thrashes in his grip, but is no longer able to bite anyone. “This is a poisonous snake, and I doubt anyone brought a bezoar with them.”
Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”

Years after Cas’ death, Dean is a retired hunter who’s now mostly known for his bitchin’ pies, quick mechanical work and the patchwork of tattoos that litter his body that tell a mournful story of a life lost to powers greater than him. Having spent his time since losing Cas and defeating Chuck learning to live again, Dean’s perfectly carved out little slice of life is thrown for a loop when the supposedly dead angel and the would-be God show up at his doorstep on the fifth anniversary of Cas’ death, both very much alive. Jack; just a child. Cas; just a man.

When Cas's grace is running out for the second time, the Winchester brothers enlist the help of a certain archangel to save his life. Gabriel comes up with the perfect solution: Dean and Cas bond. This seems like a great plan until Dean discovers too late what the bond really means. Gabriel informs him, much to his delight, that he is now Angel Married to Cas with no way of reversal. Little does Dean know, Gabriel is messing with him and the bond isn't a marriage at all. Cue a bunch of embarrassing misunderstandings as Dean struggles with his new "marriage" to Cas.
