When he reappears back in the Burial Mounds, he sets off to get things done without being made into either a weapon, turned into the cultivation world's pariah, or being used as a pawn. (Includes multiple cameos by the Yiling Patriarch who is totally not Wei Wuxian, because that's ridiculous.)

He has issues about a lot of things far scarier than dogs, and it colors his view of many of his old friends/family... While not completely bashing be warned that Wei Ying is not going to be nice.
