"You forgot you're birthday?" Yamada whispered. Actually whispered. Not a half yell half mutter, but a talk so quiet that Shouta could barely even hear him. Discomfort settled in the Erasure's stomach.
"Uh... Yeah. Is that so bad?"
Hizashi's mouth fell even farther open at this point. Shouta thought that if the other had any more shocks today that he might break his jaw.
"...Hizashi?" Shouta muttered, reaching out to poke the boy back into existence. The blond shook his head, sitting up straight in his desk again.
"Man," Hizashi said, looking into his binder and digging out a small present. "You're gonna need something way cooler than this, bro."
