It becomes a whole dynamic.
They’re grown, dysfunctional men living in a tiny one-bedroom-apartment with a mean, blind old woman and a cancerous, immortal little dog, so of course they don’t talk about it. After all, why would they? But even without them properly communicating it is becoming more obvious by the day that what they are doing is practicing non-sexual kink. Neither of them ever utters the words ‘Dom/sub relationship’, there is no negotiation, no discussion of boundaries, no safeword. It is all very unsafe and insane, but it is consensual so long as neither of them stabs the other, and that hasn’t happened since Althea made them sleep out on the street for ruining her carpet. And that had been a consensual fight, anyway. Just wanting to blow off some steam.

“Do you like it, sweetheart?” It’s not even remotely an explanation or an answer; evasive and slippery as Wade always is. He tightens one arm around Logan’s waist, bringing his other hand up to rub over his chest, roughly comforting. The way you’d pet a dog.
“I don’t—,” he gasps brokenly, breath catching in his throat. “I don’t know.” It’s too much. It’s not enough. He never wants to see Wade again. He wants to crawl inside his ribcage and make a home there.(Wade soft doms Logan into submission; Logan realizes he likes being a lap puppy)

(In which Logan pretends to know what's going on and jumps to wildly incorrect conclusions about the state of things).

What he’s got so far:1. He lives with a man named Wade and an old lady named Blind Al and the ugliest dog he’s ever seen in his life inexplicably named Mary.
2. He’s still an X-Man, or at least working with the X-Men, but he doesn’t live there anymore. Maybe he moved out of the mansion to live with Wade? He can’t imagine why they’d choose this shithole instead of there, but maybe Blind Al had something to do with it? She wasn’t frail by any means, but living alone in the city, blind and elderly, can’t be easy, and in his experience the older people get the more stubborn they become. She probably refused to leave and Wade stayed to take care of her. And Logan had moved in at some point when they became serious.
Because that’s the third thing he’s figured out. Wade is his boyfriend - or partner, as he’d put it earlier. (Boyfriend did sound a bit immature for men their ages).
