I love this story and have read it through several times and keep coming back to read again.
As the story progresses, it has gone into some weirder places, so I'm trying to add potential squick and trigger tags to my tags. Still a very good story, and most of those parts are fairly quick mentions between other things. And the characters do all get extensive therapy (mind healing). And most references of sex things are them going to effort to make sure things are safe sane and consensual.
Also, the many gender related tags I chose are both because I wasn't sure how to describe, but also because there's numerous instances of gender fuckery of various types, with various levels of severity, permanence and consent/acceptance.
Most of the gender fuckery starts in 4th year, and the fae stuff in 5th year.

Summary
This is a companion fic/sequel to syriala’s amazing work, The Looking Glass Self. You should definitely check it out or reread it before starting this one ;)
SUMMARY:

Good thing this story has one.
Bucky survives HYDRA’s experimentation just to get stuck in the future (of an alternate dimension) for a week. He’s supremely thankful for the warnings he got there, that prevented the ‘Winter Soldier’ from ever becoming one of his titles, and prevented Steve from earning the nickname “Cap-cicle”. He’s pretty sure he’s dodged both those bullets. Now he just has to make it far enough into the future to meet his alternate-future-self’s fella, and maybe help out with an alien invasion or two along the way. Piece of cake, right?

Summary
