The demon looked like Aiden, the bartender that Jaskier had come to understand as a friend, but his skin was dark as night and where his forehead met his hairline small spiked horns sat adorning him. It wasn’t so drastically different from the man he had worked alongside, and the demon still had enchanting emerald eyes and a rock hard body that was guaranteed a leer from all who looked upon him. Aiden was Aiden, just a touch cosmetically different. And not to mention Aiden had a tail, a fucking tail!

Somewhere deep, dark and cold is arresting him, at least something of him.
Jaskier thinks of a mountain.
The vast deep, below and beside and among, gathers and Jaskier can tell its a cliff.
He is on the edge. He could jump. Jump with limbless legs. Fall and fall to nothing. No one. Not one. No longer.
But another somewhere is calling.
He gasps and gasps and gasps for air when he wakes. Gulping and trembling and kneading his fingers into the wool of his tattered blanket. Tangible.
Somewhere, he sits up.

Summary
It was the same and it was different. Quiet wasn’t enforced but welcomed between them as they shared the same space. After a long day of singing old shanties ensured to bring soft chuckles and smiles to the wolf witcher's face, Jaskier and Eskel would move together wordlessly to get themselves settled in for the night. Jaskier had never known a routine to feel so comfortable. He’d never known just how much warmth a soft summer’s evening could bring, nor the combined sensuality of feeling appreciated and capable. Traveling with Eskel felt like all the warmth in the world was channeled directly into his chest, its rays working to eradicate any fears and worries wrapping themselves between his ribs. Jaskier had imagined the warmth—maybe deliriously, and maybe more than once—as Eskel’s treasured little pygmy goat, lil’ bleater, munching on the blackberry barbs buried in his bones. He may have had yet to meet her, but he felt the goat sounded like an honest representation of his runaway feelings.
Jaskier loves Eskel and he loves words. Jaskier would also do anything for the gentle wolf.

Atsumu had been living in Paris for a couple months and though many things attributed to his comfort and happiness in the city, the greatest impact — by far— had been the guess monster himself. Every shared smile and laugh, every movie night and marathon hosted when he felt a bit down, and the special chocolates left for him at his apartment or after practice that had helped Atsumu to feel less alone.
Satori had become a huge part of Atsumu's life. They didn't see eachother everyday because of their busy schedules but when they could manage it — when Atsumu could manage it — he spent as much of his free time with the redhead as possible.
