A small, soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips. “It’s only meaningful if it’s for Sasuke-kun.”
Suigetsu scoffed, shaking his head. “That’s just utterly stupid.”
Sakura tilted her head to the side, as if she didn’t understand what he meant. “You think so?”
She said it with such innocence that it made the idiot Suigetsu looking uneasy. As if she hadn’t just declared her willingness to die for someone who hadn’t said a word in return.
Not even an hour into meeting her, and Karin was already convinced this cherry-blossom-haired girl was completely irrational, every word out of her mouth centered on Sasuke. The girl was clearly no idiot, she had awakened the Hundred Healings mark, a feat demanding years of unwavering discipline and precise chakra control. A fool couldn't do that.
But when it came to Sasuke...
...she was dangerously unhinged.

Summary
After finding a dog abandoned by the riverside Sakura calls Kakashi-sensei to help her save him, nevermind the fact that they've barely spoken since Sasuke defected and Naruto left the village to train. When Kakashi-sensei decides to adopt the dog, Sakura asks if she can visit him sometimes, and restarts a tentative friendship between her and her ex-sensei.
Team 7 is over, Sakura hasn't seen her teammates in years, and she was never Kakashi-sensei's favourite anyways. So why isn't he treating her like the annoyance she's always believed she was?

There must have been no small amount of giggling occurring when the fates had tied her soul to that of another. If not laughter, then it must have been cruelty, because Sakura’s soulmate sign was perhaps the most painfully ironic bond signifier in all of Konoha. Sakura, with her trademark pink hair, hair that had been the source of no small amount of childhood taunting, hair that she’d been named after, had hair whose color she could not see.
