1. Fabian is Riz’s best friend and partner in crime (or crime-solving -- depending on the day).
2. Riz asked Fabian to help him with a case, as backup for something short and sweet.
3. It was neither short, nor sweet.
4. After weeks of careful stakeouts, tracking, and planning, Riz found the location of the ledger that Adaine needed to prove her suspicions about a certain group of rich people with far too much political sway.
5. Turns out, rich people come up with the stupidest ways of keeping things safe.***
