    Jaskier’s a man of pride. He may bluster about selflessness and the greater good, telling stories for others’ sake and providing valuable insight to travel companions, but beneath the thin veneer of heroism, he’s a proud and selfish man. Not that he doesn’t do good—his name is known for more than just his music nowadays—but it’s his nature to seek credit and preen.

    He’s also a man of pleasure. There’s little enough of that to be found on the road, so he permits himself to indulge when the opportunity arises. Overindulge, some might say, but neither he nor his lovers have reason to complain.

    Especially not here in The Wanton Warbler.
