Summary
Soulmarks. Unique symbols that appear somewhere on your body that will be a perfect match to the one that appears on your soulmate. Most people parade their marks around, going so far as to specially tailor their clothes to reveal their marks, going about their lives looking for someone who matches them.
Kuroo gets his mark on his 16th birthday exactly. As the years pass and Kenma's mark fails to show up, they both silently give up on the idea that they might be soulmates. Kenma secretly hopes that he'll never get a mark at all- after all, if Kuroo isn't his soulmate, who else could it possibly be?
He's locked away that part of himself, the hopes and frustrations of his soulmarks failure to show up when it should have. He wouldn't be thinking about it all, except that the chat during his livestream is suddenly going crazy. How is he meant to handle all of this?

Summary
"Well," Chris said. "You see the obvious solution here, right?"
Eddie turned and shot Chris confused look. Buck just shrugged.
Chris pushed the cutting board away and stood. He grabbed his crutches. "It's obvious, and I'm not surprised you're still not seeing it," Chris said with a put-upon sigh. "Buck, you just described your ideal relationship and it's exactly what's going on between you and Dad. All of it, and more. It's been going on for years!"
Eddie glanced at Buck, then quickly turned his gaze back to his son.
Chris sighed again and shook his head. "You just have to figure out if you're willing to take it a step further or if you'll stay platonically married for the rest of your lives, and probably run off any potential romantic partner who sees all of this--" he gestured between them "--and decides they can't compete."
Chris' words kick off an emotionally charged conversation and it turns out that love is not always enough on its own. Sometimes it takes emotional bloodletting (AKA honest talks and therapy), a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of support and time to make a relationship.

Just goes to show what catharsis a conversation can bring. Even if it doesn't actually resolve anything at that moment, there is still a transformative power to just words (in particular, in a safe/loving setting, a little bit of a shouting match). Very natural and compassionate evolution of Buck and Eddie's relationship.

The art of flusterment. Waves lapping upon the beach, licking higher and higher, until your heart thunders an earthquake and your breath shudders out, fissures undevouring an ocean.

Summary
“It’s cool that I promised I’d bring you to my holiday party at work, as my partner. That’s cool? People are going to think we’re together,” Eddie says, slowly, like Richie isn’t understanding the gravity of this situation. “They’re going to ask how we met, how we fell in love, how-.”
Richie laughs. It’s a little hysterical. “Ah, it was 1989 and he did the mashed potatoes on a homophobic clown and I was a goner,” he says, entirely too truthful.
