Two years have gone by since the disaster that was Morocco, Aldus went back to his time and an angry Jonas spends most of his time away on Mary Xavier's missions (they come from her, right?). Indi, Sunny and Anni Palmer have more or less kept in touch. After the sudden and mysterious disappearance of the Legends young Indigo Xavier - no, wait! It's Indigo Quinn Lance! - only a couple of days old, arrives in "The Refuge", an orphanage hidden somewhere in space and time, where she grows up alongside Jonas Coburn and later Aldus Boardman as well with no knowledge of who her mothers are. That is until an old family friend in a trench coat sets her on a trail that has her discover people that in a different life would've been family.

The smile that forms on her lips. The feeling that wraps around her heart, that spreads in her chest and reaches into her belly - right there, where she's used to her stomach revolting and forming harsh knots of pinching anxiety - now soft, warm, gooey.
Her brain, always so busy and racing, is foggy, quiet somehow - soft.
She has always had a hard time of naming emotions but for once she doesn't feel the need to define it. It's simply - soft.There’s a beep to Dr Sharpe’s right and her head snaps up.
“Alright, the update is all done, Dr Sharpe. I’m booting Gideon up again.”
She isn’t sure why her hand is so shaky as she brings it up to her ear, her coms.
“Thank you, Z” - her heart skips a beat as she stumbles over her words - “I mean, Zari, Ms Tarazi! Good work.”
