Sexy-cute vampires. Nothing too fluffy, Sora being more assertive and confident yet still shy at times around Riku, Riku being chill and not the overly-polite-and-scared-to-love-sora type he is nowadays. No extended cast and has Selphie and Tidus (rip wakka) as friends, remember when that was the norm? Pepperidge Farms remembers. Plus, the good old High School AU, Riku being "straight" and the hints of being gay wasn't celebrated but accepted by those that cared.
This is peak late 2000s-early 2010s and I love it.
