A chill began in his belly, crawling up and down, to the sides. The universe set about unmaking him and Stephen fought for one moment longer, to leave the message he needed to.
"Tell Natasha," Stephen said with emotion thick in his voice. "That I never break a promise. Never. Tell her that I love her."
The trickle of cold had taken his hands, his feet, and it stretched up his throat to rob him of breath.
"Tony." Stephen gasped. "There was no other way."
Stephen closed his eyes and oblivion dragged him away.

Summary
(A Reboot of X2: X-Men United)
Months have passed since the incident at Liberty Island. In that time, Storm and Wolverine have traversed the Canadian wilderness, content to simply be together as he searches for answers about his past.When their leads turn up with answers, but nothing helpful, they return to the X-Men to find all is not as they left it.
An attack on the President sets horrifying events in motion, some that may rip apart the happiness Logan and Ororo have found together.
