Amity gently placed a hand on his bare chest, rubbing gently as if to comfort him. “How are you feeling?” she asked.
“What’s going on?” he demanded instead of answering her question.
“Aww, don’t worry, Hunter,” she said, speaking to him as one might talk to a child or a pet. Anger flared within him, made even worse when she lifted the hand off his chest to cup his cheek, stroking her thumb over his cheekbone, before brushing almost tenderly over his lips. “We’ve got you,” she finished, ominously.

Hawke and companions are told about a creature wreaking havoc somewhere, so they all set out to find it, unaware of what they are walking into.
Hawke (male or female) takes everyone and when they arrive there is a creature unlike they have ever seen. Massive, hundreds of writhing tentacles. They fight, and for a while it looks like they're winning. But, It secretes a toxin that paralyzes them, undresses them and fills them all with it's seed. Stuffing them with it. Over and over again.
And because they are so far from anything, nobody knows where they are, and there's nobody that can stop the creature either way.

Summary
Even though Hunter was disfigured and broken beyond all reasonable repair, he still looked breathtaking; after all, there was a certain beauty within death.
Beauty in the way the light reflected off his glassy wine-red eye. Beauty in the clammy greyness of his skin, untouched by the flames. Beauty in the bruises and angry rashes smudged across his body over top of broken bones. Beauty in how completely and utterly still he laid sprawled out over the cold stainless steel examiner’s table. Beauty in how the only sound to be heard was the gentle hum of the light above them, and Belos’ own deep, steady heartbeat.
Carefully, Belos removed his own mask. Still cupping Hunter’s chin, he pressed a kiss to his cool cheek. His fingers twitched, his heart quivered.
There will be time to grieve Hunter later. For now, Belos needed to take advantage of this final moment with his nephew. After all, he’s been waiting on this exact moment for a very, very long time.
