Summary
This was not how Medkit wanted his afternoon to go. He would’ve been fine with spending the rest of his day like he always did, paperwork with nothing special to it and anticipating any plans for gear modification until it was time to get back home. In fact, he would've been fine with anything else happening other than this string of events that now had him on the road to Playground. He didn’t want to check his phone to see a string of concerning text messages from Boombox, spelling out a horrible idea that couldn't have led to anything good.
or, good things never last long. Boombox and Medkit face their biggest challenge yet, leaving them to overcome it together, or fall together.

Summary
Sword and Rocket had left the apartment before Boombox did, leaving him and Medkit alone as the healer began to make sure all the boxes were approximately in the right places, talking idly when the healer had let it slip that he hadn’t seen a beach before, which had Boombox’s jaw dropping in surprise. Apparently, the DJ had grown up near a beach in Playground, so he couldn’t quite wrap his head around the fact that there were inphernals that hadn’t been to the beach.

Summary
Medkit was never a fan of parties. They were too loud with blaring music and overlapping conversations, too crowded with too many inphernals trying to squeeze in and out of the dance floor, too many smells of alcohol and sweat mixing together combined with the flashing lights that took away the darkness at will. He’d much rather have been at home, looking at apartments available for lease in Crossroads, or getting a headstart on some work before going to bed for the night.
Or, Medkit was dragged to a party by Swocket and finds himself thinking about some bittersweet memories. Thankfully, he's not alone.

It had been ten years since Medkit had seen Boombox last. Ten years since he’d gotten the correspondence that he was being summoned to help support Blackrock from the sidelines, and he couldn’t go against that. Ten years since he’d kissed his husband goodbye and promised to come back home as soon as he could. Ten years spent trying to make his way back home as it felt like the world itself wanted to see Medkit fail to fulfill that promise he’d made.
