"Louis chucks her work clothes on the bathroom floor, where Harry will find them tomorrow and use them as an excuse to start with her. She could remember to pick them back up after the shower, but she won’t because the second the warm water hits her skin, everything else falls away.
They used to shower together, after work. One time at work, – that very first time – in the dingy changing room showers. Louis still remembers the flickering overhead lights, the sulphury smell from the disused drain tap mixing in with their sweat, the lump in her throat and the look on Harry’s face. Up until that point, Louis had written her off as a filthy flirt with a penchant for pushing boundaries and played along accordingly. It’d seemed so safe at first, harmless workplace flirtation, no real risk in the absence of genuine desire.
Well, Harry fucked that up. And Louis, worse yet, let her."--
Louis broke up with Harry approximately a month ago. Which means she's been sleeping on an air mattress in her living room for exactly a month.
