He didn’t look like the junkie kid who had fled home the day he’d turned eighteen, who pumped himself full of poison to drown out the sounds of the screams of the dead and damned. He just looked like a young man who was in pain, and suffering, and hurt.
And that hurt. In and of itself.
(By chance, Diego manages to save Klaus from something awful, and takes care of him for as long as his brother allows him to do so.)
