Summary
Sanji was ready for another school year from hell spent dodging his brothers’ cruelty, disappointing his teammates on the swim team, and isolating himself. He is not prepared to room with Zoro or be forced into spending time with his friends. Sanji moves carefully through life, trying to go unnoticed. He doesn’t allow himself to become attached to anything or anyone, so it won’t hurt when he eventually loses them. The incorrigible Luffy and his friends, especially the brooding green-haired brute, threaten to wreck his carefully constructed walls and make him feel again.
Zoro feels too much about his roommate, Sanji. For years he has chalked the feelings up to hatred because of Sanji’s repeated poor performance at swim competition that affects the entire team. But now that Luffy has brought him into the fold and the forced exposure to Sanji’s oddities in their shared dorm, Zoro finds himself not just angry and frustrated but also curious and protective. But the more he sees of Sanji’s life, the more helpless he feels to change it.
In the shadow of his father, Sanji struggles to find the friendship and love he thought he didn’t need.
