Summary
Alpha/Beta/Omega are known secondary genders and Sentinel/Ordinary/Guide are known genetic identities. Both are acknowledged and protected by law. There are two types of bonding: sexual bond and emotional bond. Sexual bond is achieved by secondary gender bonding, and emotional bond is achieved by genetic identity bonding (Sentinel/Guide). Nowadays, the law states that they legalize non-traditional secondary gender bonding as Alpha/Alpha, Alpha/Beta, Omega/Omega, etc. The law also states genetic identity bonding is required for Sentinels and Guides to continue working in their positions, especially government officials, to avoid bias and unreliable narrations required in their respective line of work.
There is also a 'soulmate' term, where an Alpha Sentinel meets his/her Omega Guide - which means they are sexually and emotionally compatible with each other.
