Summary
The thing about dreams was that when you were within them, there was no difference between wanting to do something and doing it. If normal thoughts had to pass through several steps in order to be turned into actions, dream-thoughts had maybe one wishy-washy barrier to cross. Maybe.
So when Ludwig saw Aiden standing in the doorway of his bedroom, there was no pause like there would’ve been in real life, no moment when he dug his heels into the carpet and held himself back.
There was just desire.
