"Are you guys serious ?!" Gale hid his face in his hands, voice slightly muffled, "This is bad. Oh god, I'm gonna have to move to Mexico aren't I?" Curt badly disguised a laugh while coughing, "Although, Bucky would probably murder me before I get the chance." He winced, finally looking back up to the honest-to-god, smirking boys. This is the last time he ever comes to them for help.
"Come on, it isn't that bad. You could do worse to be hon-" Rosie's words are cut off when Gale lobs a piece of cornbread at his face.
or - Gale massively fucks up by accidentally telling his mom he's dating the schools bad boy and has to deal with the consequences. -

“Don't...” He trails off and turns back to the sky, “Don't you think it's interesting? Like... there are so many. Like in the quintillions” Buck holds back a snort at that, “But yet, we'll never know their story. Who knows, maybe that little one over there” He stretches his arm over Gale's chest to point at a spot among the millions clustered around it. “Is a poet or something.”
“You know, for a man whose favourite extinct animal is a unicorn.” John doesn't seem offended, a small smile having the audacity to pinch the corner of his mouth as he lets him continue, “you have your occasional philosophical moments.”
“What can I say, I'm one of life's greatest mysteries.”
“You keep telling yourself that.” Bucky does pull his arm away then. Not without ‘accidentally’ elbowing Gale's forehead.
