“I'm fine.” Cloud grunted through gritted teeth. He wasn't fine.
“Cloud, please. You need your medicine.” You urged him, holding out the spoon of green liquid. After the plate dropped in sector seven, Cloud didn't have a home. So you asked him to move in with you. Months after the fight with Sephiroth, Cloud fell terribly ill. On some days, he couldn't get out of bed. Though he refused to let you help him get dressed, so he just slept in his clothes. Cloud didn't like the texture of the medicine he was prescribed, so he often tried to convince you he didn't need it. Of course, you saw past his lies. You're his best friend after all.
“...Fine.” He grumbled saltily, forcing his body upright. You carefully fed him two spoonfuls of the medicine, he recoiled and clenched his fists.
