“Hey Simon,” Ghost was surprised to hear that since they’re technically on the job, “do you trust me?”
“I do.” That’s far from the complete answer which Ghost was still struggling to put together, but he offered as much as he can, didn’t wanna leave Johnny hanging. It goes without saying that he trusts Johnny with his life after what they’ve been through and what the man proved himself to be. But there’s so much he wanted to throw at Johnny, the heavy weight of a living and breathing Simon Riley that’s probably more overwhelming than the matter of life and death. He carefully buried those. Didn’t wanna suffocate him.
“That’s great.” Soap was radiating warmth through his voice and his overall presence, “Because I trust you.”
OR
Soap tries to woo Ghost like a real gentlemen but Ghost, broken and sick to the bone, wants something else, something more.

Summary
Taking place after the events of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, both Soap and Ghost are dealing with the harsh realization that maybe they see the other as a little more than just a brother in arms.
After a night when their flirty banter escalates to a new level, both are convinced that the other is interested in a strictly sexual relationship as they begin to learn new things about themselves and each other, all the while convincing themselves that their feelings are not reciprocated.
