He couldn't explain his own discomfort, which annoyed him. If he didn't know what the problem was, he couldn't fix it.
It just felt wrong. Nobody could make Mithrun do anything if he decided he didn't want to do it. There were a lot of things he didn't care enough to protest. Kabru himself had slept with several people long past the time he'd realized he shouldn't, and he'd have been annoyed if anyone tried to interfere. Mithrun made a lot of bad decisions and it was Kabru's job to stop him. It actually had never been Kabru's job and he'd been blackmailed into it and they just happened to be friends now and taking care of Mithrun was just part of being friends with him. But it just felt wrong!
Rinse and repeat.
Kabru finds out that Mithrun and Cithis have been sleeping together. This raises a number of complex ethical questions he really doesn't feel equipped to deal with.Series
