She felt as though the life was slowly being drained out of her, her lungs collapsing, his face on a slideshow in her mind. His breath in her face, the smell of caffeine so strong she felt her stomach churn. His hands invading her body — making her feel trapped and suffocated. She slid down the wall, — mainly because her knees gave in beneath her — brought both hands to her face and counted backwards from a hundred, trying to focus on anything else but Booth.
But it was impossible. Everything she thought about, he was right there.
