Summary
“What are you doing here, kid?” Oh. He’s early.
“Hi, Eraserhead.” Shouto greets. Naturally just his knowledge of the underground hero’s name raises suspicion. He knows a lot of other things too.
It’s not safe up on the rooftops. Go home. Shouto recites in his head.
“It’s not safe up on the rooftops. Go home.” Eraserhead says. He worries, every time. Shouto has learnt to sit down before he gets there, so that he doesn’t look like he’s about to jump. But a kid sitting alone on a rooftop still isn’t normal. Not that Shouto ever was.

Shouto makes a deal with the devil, to escape from the future his father had mapped out for him. It doesn’t take long for him to realise that being forgotten by everyone is not a blessing, but a curse.

“Do you ever think about dying?”
Katsuki pauses, looking properly at his boyfriend. If he was having some kind of life shattering existential crisis, his mouth would be downturned, lopsided towards the left, like his jaw’s being tugged by an invisible string. And his eyes would not be fluttering and drooping, they’d be wide open, unsettlingly so.
“Is it the fucking curry,” He deadpans, “I asked you ten million times if it was too spicy for you and you said no, so if you’re gonna be a little bitch and whine about it then why don’t you just own up to the fact that you have the spice tolerance of a mediaeval english peasant?”
“The curry’s fine,” Shouto replies, “Heavenly. You make being on fire quite enjoyable, one of your many culinary talents.”

“Fine. I’ll delete it,” he says, holding his phone behind him, safely out of the vampire’s reach. Shouto’s crouching again, as if from exhaustion, his eyes a mix of horror and crippling self pity. “On one condition.”
Shouto grits his teeth, clearly wrestling with his pride. After a moment he sighs and slumps to his knees. “Anything. Just don’t tell anyone about this; I’m begging you. What do you want? Tickets? An autograph?”
Bakugou laughs. He doesn’t pause to think about his next words, just lines up the gun and shoots.
“Sign me on as your producer,” Bakugou says. “Let me work with you on your comeback.”

Bakugou Katsuki has given up on his dreams of becoming a music producer to enter the world of music journalism instead. When he finds out ex-boy band member and new solo artist Todoroki Shouto is secretly a vampire, Bakugou promises not to tell anyone.
So long as he can produce Shouto’s debut album, that is.

‘‘I used to think Fullmetal was a crude nod at your prosthetics…’’
Roy Mustang’s words were laced with a thoughtful hum, and Edward tried not to feel hurt by the misassumption. Many heard his title and assumed it came down to his automail arm and leg. Ed had just hoped the Colonel – after everything – would’ve been different; that Mustang would’ve looked past Edward’s ill-fitting uniform and cripplingly-heavy automail and only see him as a person.
‘‘But,’’ Mustang continued, pensive, ‘‘I think they spelled your title wrong. You’re not Fullmetal, you should be Fullmettle. As in, you are full of mettle.’’
Edward blinked, utterly baffled.
‘‘Mettle, kid. M-E-T-T-L-E.’’
Mustang spelled it out for him. Literally. A genuine smile tugged at the Colonel’s lips as he rumbled out a fleeting chuckle, affectionately sweeping a hand over the top of Edward's golden crown. The boy's throat constricted as an annoying warm blur suddenly invaded his vision. He had experienced more kind words and actions under this man’s brief command than he had experienced in a long, long time.
It was just a shame that it was only a temporary arrangement.
