Summary

"I don’t know how you’re going to take this, but we think whoever did it did so to help you.” Joshua pauses, like he’s afraid to tell Jungwon the truth. “ We think that, in order to try and keep you from telling the truth, Heeseung tried to kill you before he fled. But somebody else turned you to save your life. Another one of his vampires defected to save you.”
Jungwon’s world stops, everything from the pain in his mouth to the empty feeling all over and even caving into the urge to bite into a living human’s arm all starting to make sense, as much as he doesn’t want to believe it. “Turned… me?”
Joshua nods. “Yes, turned you. You’re one of us now, Jungwon, a vampire.”

“So? What will your answer be?” Sunghoon smirked, lowering himself mockingly – a perfect ninety degree bow. “Will you reward this lowly servant for his services, or will you be the same as every other king before you, and have my head for speaking wrongly of your rein?”
Jungwon barely studied him for a charged moment.
“you dare speak of your part in my father’s sudden death here, in front of witnesses?”
“I dare speak of it because your guards respect you more than they respect me,” he said, voice falsely coated in velvet. “And you owe me more than silence, do you not think so?”
The prince hesitated. His eyes, bathed in the blood of yesteryear, flickered with something Sunghoon did not quite bother to catch.
OR: in which Crown Prince Jungwon sends an assassin to kill his father, the late king. In doing so, he allows Sunghoon to swing his life precariously from blood-stained fingers.
It was but a small price to pay, in the grand scheme of things.

Summary
He's starting to hesitate then, the pit in his stomach now too large to ignore. Sunghoon is not really the bravest person when it comes to anything horror-related. He's usually the one screaming on the screen for that one stupid character to run away while he still has a chance to.
Right now, he feels like that stupid character.
