Summary
Unbidden, pain rises in his chest at the sight of Itadori’s blinding smile, but he pushes it down to ask, “What was that all about?”
“Ozawa asked to spend some time with me after school, so I said yes,” Itadori responds, unfazed by the aghast look Megumi sends his way. “She’s nice, and I like her enough, so why not, you know?”
Itadori Yuuji is Megumi’s best friend. Itadori Yuuji is also the most popular guy in school. These two facts are not mutually exclusive, but they sure make Megumi’s life a hell of a lot more difficult.

Summary
“Is this okay?” Itadori tilts his head, eyes soft. They’ve stopped just before the train station exit, letting everyone else flow around them. Megumi curses his reddening cheeks, as well as the overwhelming warmth radiating from where Itadori is holding his hand from where it was pulling away from his head.
He looks a little silly there, with his hand–their hands–still raised in the air. Megumi curses himself again, and Gojo too for good measure, and tugs him along with the crowd. “Let’s just go, idiot.” Megumi winces at how pleased he sounds, so he refuses to look back as they walk towards the mall.
Just as well, since he wouldn’t have known what to do with Itadori’s face being as pink as his hair.

Summary
As Lance traipses home, the route familiar despite the darkness, his eyes trace the constellations above. He’s not sure if he’s imagining it, but he thinks that since he first started this whole routine, the amount of stars in the sky has multiplied. Lance hopes it’s a sign of the peace that Voltron brought to the universe and everything that lies beyond–a sign that Allura’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain. For just a brief moment, he wishes that he was out there, too, helping spread Allura’s message of goodwill to the aliens who needed to hear it or aiding in diplomacy and negotiations. Every night, he feels the same rush of longing, and every night, he quashes it down the second he reaches his family farm.
In the years to come after Voltron's final battle, Lance establishes a routine. It doesn't change, no matter how much he may want it to.

Summary
“Keith? Buddy?” Lance chuckles nervously, all too aware of their newfound proximity and position under the mistletoe. This close, he can see the slightest wrinkle in his teammate’s forehead, and he’s struck with the absentminded thought to smooth it out, just to see how Keith would react. Such an absurd idea makes Lance trail off, uncertainty coloring his last half-hearted laughs, when Keith seems to find what he’s been looking for and pulls him down into a kiss.

All is right with the world when the war ends and the tyrant Fire Lord is defeated. Previously missing Crown Prince Oikawa Tooru finally takes the throne from his father and secures a firm alliance with Avatar Hinata and the other nations of the world.
All is well and good until newly minted Fire Lord Oikawa disappears (AGAIN), leaving the throne vacant alongside a cryptic message of six words:

“Not to worry, Yoshino,” Gojo announces brightly and while Megumi can’t see his eyes he feels them flicker to him for the smallest fraction of a second and something in his stomach drops. Oh no. “I just know what to do. Don’t you worry about that, your teacher has it all figured out!”
Megumi opens his mouth, impending doom hanging over his head like a storm cloud, but by then it’s already too late, lightning has already struck. Gojo, the biggest ass in human history, flashes thumbs up in the round and then goes: “I’m sure our brightest little shikigami user would love to help you.”
(or: Yuji comes back from the dead, comes back from the dead with a shiny new friend and Megumi is totally cool with that. Everything's peachy. Really.)
