The thing is: Khun knows how the Firefish works. It consumes Shinsu and turns it into heat. Without a supply of Shinsu, it wouldn’t be able to manifest. And normally, given that the Tower is always producing Shinsu, there’s no need to worry about something as silly as running out of Shinsu. The worry is about who’s controlling it.
The problem is: the Floor Ruler of the 56th Floor keeps the supply of Shinsu very scarce. It’s just enough to sustain a Regular normally, but very little beyond that. And without Shinsu, their equipment was basically useless. The only weapons they had were the ones they were holding when they walked in. Lighthouses, Observers, and Inventories were forced into invisible mode for the test. Pockets only kept their basic translation functions.
The task is: survive the harsh winter for a month.

Izuku thought that Todoroki wouldn’t be much different during sex. He didn’t cry when Izuku complimented him, he didn’t cry when Izuku said “I love you,” and he didn’t cry when he came- from the overwhelming sensation, or the overwhelming emotions.
Izuku did. Izuku cried at just about anything, so it was no surprise that he cried when Todoroki asked him out, he cried during their first sixteen kisses, and even he cried whenever he fingered himself to completion in the dead of night, thinking about Todoroki’s fingers- or more- being inside of him instead of his own.
He figured Todoroki would be quiet, and relatively unemotional during the act, and leave the crying and desperation to Izuku. He was wrong.
