Din’an, she says, is the word for people like her.
Enal, she says, is the word for people like him.
Alhasha’melana, is the name she gives for this period she must endure, which is as inelegant as it is enticing.
Wild season.
The fall of Elvhenan and the rise of the Veil prompted a very particular evolutionary trait within Elvhen descendents to ensure the People's survival.
Solas does not know this.
Solas should probably know this.

Summary
After Adamant, Solas grapples with his inability to fulfil his duty to the People when the opportunity presented itself in the form of a sudden and unexpected journey into the Fade. To make matters worse, the Fade now sings in his blood as a consequence, a louder refrain than he has heard since entering uthenera.
To make matters even worse, he is not the only mage affected.

When home is people.
"Well," she unfolds herself from sitting and wanders over, hands clasped behind her back until she is ready to take the rag from him and drop it to be forgotten to the side. "On the anniversary of sharing wedding vows, you give a gift."
Solas is so charmed by the tilt of her head that he takes a moment to to register what she's said.
"We are not married," he tells her. He would certainly have remembered it.

Summary
"A letter, if one could call it that, in shaky writing, lies folded upon the desk’s surface. It’s half-out of its envelope, easily readable to any who might be looking through the Inquisitor’s affects:
I know you’ve been reading my mail. Stop it."
It is definitely inadvisable that they should correspond, but Lavellan and Solas cannot keep themselves from writing one another. All is fair in love and war, and Lavellan is playing at both.

Summary
There are no answers for what became of the ship—the pride of the navy, lost on a clear night with no storms, on a route the crew traversed a hundred times before. What men survived the wreck offer little better than folk tales—singing in the night, the soft and high laughter of a woman over the side of the ship.
But then, one day, she washes ashore, marked and alone. And she can offer no story to explain her presence - but Solas knows there is more that lurks below the surface than what is swept to the sand after a storm.
