It's a rainy autumn morning when Sirius finally does it. The choice of weather seems to be a little overdramatic, but at least Sirius's soaked coat matches the feeling inside of him.
Not yet 24, homeless, with a family he just fled from, and no friends he can rely on. He obviously can't stay in London. It's a big city, but not big enough so that the weird acquaintances of his father wouldn't find him. He isn't quite ready to leave England yet, so there really is just one logical answer: the south. Somewhere on the coast. Sunny weather, fish and chips, and open-minded people that's what comes to Sirius's mind when thinking about the south.
Well, it's still October, but maybe he's right about the food and the people.
