Zoey doesn't have the best home life, dont get her wrong her parents spoiled her to no end which shes beyond grateful for. But underneath all the gifts is a girl who wants nothing more than people who dont try to buy her love, who dont give her presents in hopes that it will fill the absence of true authentic love.
To fill the empty and loneliness in her she decides to get a job at a cute local coffee shop!
shes a little clueless, she is just a nepo rich kid after all.. She meets two co-workers who honestly seem quite nice despite her initial bad interaction with one of themCan her new friends give her the love shes been craving her whole life? And maybe a permanence that she doesnt have to work for? Will she finally feel like shes enough for the people around her?

"Can I see your phone?" Zoey asks. With no hesitation Rumi hands her phone over.
She opens Rumi's phone. The familiar lockscreen of them three puts her a bit at ease. That is until she saw todays date.

The day before golden was getting released.

Zoey falls asleep the night of the idol awards, everything is ruined.
Nobody knows where Rumi is, they failed to protect the fans from gwi-ma and Mira is threatening to leave.
When Zoey wakes up from her restless sleep, instead of the trauma persisting she travels back in time to before Golden is released.
Realizing the complications, she has one chance to make everything right. Will it work out? or will she crumble under the pressure of the world ending?

Here's my take on whumptober! (Even though I'm starting on October 3rd... :-)
Don't worry - this is a long haul endeavor. Zoey is my favorite character because I relate to her the most and I LOVE writing some angst and hurt/comfort from her perspective - and I have tons of ideas for hurt/comfort oneshots involving her and Mira and Rumi and Bobby and our favorite comfort animals, Derpy and Sussie! I see Zoey and Mira and Rumi as friends/sisters - I suppose you can read many of my stories as Polytrix if you squint, but it's intended to be read like they're best friends navigating the complicated world of demon hunting and stardom with their adoptive father Bobby. I will happily take requests for hurt/comfort or fluff or angst prompts you guys would like to see!

Summary
Here's a little glimpse into the chaotic, traumatized mind of poor Zoey. Honestly this drabble was an excerpt from my upcoming chapter for my other story "We're Shattering the Silence," but I don't feel like it fits anymore and I still wanted to share. This is a deep dive into Zoey's past trauma and how she (tries to) handle it in the present. There's some heavy stuff here - implied child neglect, references to Zoey being bullied, implied/referenced alcohol abuse (Zoey's Dad), Zoey has a panic attack, implied eating disorders, etc. Sorry in advance! <3 Poor Mira and Rumi (and Bobby) try their best, but Zoey needs so many more hugs and therapy. If you guys like this semi-chaotic, flashback-ridden introspective character study, I'd be happy to try to continue! If not, no worries and hope you still kinda enjoy! Love you all! <3

After the disaster that was the Idol Awards, nothing is normal and Zoey has been picking up everyone else's broken pieces. But one night, an encounter with a demon makes her confront her inner demons, wrestle with everything she's ever known, and break in a way she can't come back from.
Sorry, I know the summary sucks, BUT this story is a deep dive into the nature of Zoey/Mira/Rumi's roles as demon hunters, what that means now that they know demons are people capable of redemption, and how they deal with (or rather, don't deal with) the trauma that comes with their newfound understanding of good and evil.
