Summary
Adrien has mastered the art of the smile. Even while his mind is on poor behavior, when he's caught beneath a barrage of unkind thoughts to himself, he's still able to keep his smile. Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.
Everyone is out-pacing him. While he's barely getting out of bed in the morning, his friends are making waves, changing lives, getting engaged.
He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Besides, Ladybug seems to be having a rough go of it, too. Maybe they can help each other out.

Wordlessly, Adrien slips the ring off his finger and offers it with an outstretched hand. Félix stares at it for a long moment, knowing in an instant what it is but processing what it means.
“You can’t be serious.” Félix blurts out at last.
Adrien, the traitor, can no longer fight the grin that stretches across his face. “Completely.”
(Or Félix was still getting used to Adrien being Chat Noir, but now he must take on the performance of a lifetime and become Chat Noir. It’s more stressful than it sounds.

Félix isn’t used to having magically enhanced strength and speed. That’s his excuse anyway for why he miscalculates and slams hard into a billboard he didn’t realize would be there when he changed directions.A soft groan escapes him and distantly, he hears Ladybug laugh loudly at him. Embarrassment floods through him and Félix glares up at the billboard that placed itself in his path.
His cousin’s face mocks him. Of course it’s one of his ads. The universe thinks it’s so funny.
“Plagg, if you mention this to him, god or not, I will kill you.” Félix murmurs under his breath. He gets no response but he can still imagine him snickering.

“I find that hard to believe.”

He wants to understand. He wishes he could be Adrien, he wishes he could make Félix realize that he’s not trying to hurt him in any way, but he’s never gotten anywhere as Adrien.The closest Adrien ever got to getting answers out of Félix was tonight, and most of that Félix had said himself. Things like ‘Everything I did, I did for you’ had told him more than he previously knew, but not enough. Adrien never got better answers.
Félix was always careful. Somewhere along the line, Félix started to keep his feelings closer to the chest around Adrien. Stopped being vulnerable. Started only showing the parts he wanted Adrien to see.
But he had no reason to keep up an act around Chat Noir. There was a chance that he was better off keeping his mask on to get answers rather than taking it off.
Argos is glaring at him but is still searching for something, like he’s still trying to understand. That much they have in common.

The more time a sentibeing spends away from their amok, the weaker that connection becomes. In time the magic of the amok, desperate to keep that connection, will move to an item that the senti is closer to.
Adrien's amok is empty, and Felix and Duusu are on a frantic search to find the new item before someone else can get their hands on it. Without letting Adrien know any of this is going on, of course.
