Summary
Taehyun swore it wasn’t because he was needy, but because he’d waited, anticipated long enough for this moment, for Dayeol holding his face gently with both hands as he kissed him. His mouth held the lingering taste of spice from the curry they’d shared during their date.
“You’re really needy,” Dayeol said, pressing a soft kiss to his lips as he extracted a hand to push open their bedroom door.
Taehyun wasn’t needy. But they had planned their date a week ago, and the following activity afterwards. And he’d thought about Dayeol beneath him, mouth parted and limbs slack and eyes glassy with pleasure, the entirety of their dinner when his mind hadn’t been on their conversation at hand.

“I’m uh—I’m sorry for being a little pushy earlier,” Dayeol said, finally broaching the subject Taehyun could tell he was dying to inquire about. “I was trying to help but I think I just made it worse.”
Taehyun shook his head as he pulled away, trying to find something in himself to open up his mouth and speak, reassure him that even though he’d made him more overwhelmed, he appreciated the effort, that it really was a whole bunch of other things and not specifically him, but he just couldn’t, not all the way.
“It's not you,” he croaked. “Just—it’s—talking is—” He squeezed his eyes shut in frustration and sucked in a breath. “I’m tired,” he bit out as a final statement.

Biting his lip to keep his grin under wraps, he nodded and got up from the bed to settle himself in front of Dayeol. And when he raised his phone up over their heads to display the picture of a mistletoe for Dayeol to see, the man sighed.
“‘Walked right into that one…” he murmured. “That’s not how that works. You can’t just use a photo.”
Or, the five times Dayeol and Taehyun (technically) kissed beneath the mistletoe, and the one time they (technically) didn’t.
