“You know you’re not sneaky right?” A grin bordering on shit-eating crosses her face as the shorter person jolts. It's not funny when you’re the one being scared is it Nimona? Gloreth chuckles. But I could get used to being the one scaring her for once to be honest.
“Jesus Christ Blondie, I think you stopped my heart for a second.” The shorter girl dramatically holds her hand over her chest as she tries to regain her pride. Gloreth looks over their messy locks down to their scruffy boots, her smile drops as she notices new scrapes and what looks like a fresh bruise on their cheek.

“Why are you here anyway?” Gloreth asks, her gaze piercing in contrast to her softer tone. She gives Nimona a look that makes it clear that brushing this question off wasn’t an option. They sigh and run a hand through their hair.
“Wanna get out of here?”
or a Gloreth/Nimona Small Town AU where they spend a summer night together at the lake. They are very gay and bad at expressing that.

Summary
Alberto Scorfano-Marcovaldo waits in the train station every summer for his best friends Luca and Giulia to come home from school. Every summer Luca and Alberto spend together, they get even closer and the two eventually realize their feelings for the other. (with Giulia’s help of course) But spending the rest of the year apart leaves them longing for summer which brings tearful renunions.
This whole fic was inspired by Luca story lead Kenna Jean Harris posting those ‘unsanctioned fanart’ pictures on instagram and fernfrek’s fanart of the montage over four summers that Kenna mentioned. :’)

Bruno hadn't been to Puerto Rosa in 6 years, but one of his friends finally convinced him to go back, at least to visit his wife's grave if not see his son (who he was only half sure was alive)
Luca and Guila were excited for their 4th summer home together, and this year Gulia was bringing her new girlfriend home, mostly to avoid being Luca and Alberto's third wheel
alberto had everything prepared to have the best summer EVER with his sister and boyfriend, and apparently, some girl named Maria. he would figure out if he approved of her later.
what could ever ruin this summer? maybe Bruno, who knows?
this is a short fanfic I intend to finish quickly and use as practice for writing character dynamics in my own novels. it's ongoing and I expect it to have like maybe 10 chapters at most.
written in 3rd person with pov changes mid-chapter

It was her father that disquieted her.Yet, when it comes to Daphne and her little Emily, the same could not be said. Daphne tries not to let it hurt her, to think that there’s this thought-of pillar of womanhood that she’s somehow failing at.
Or, Daphne has to contend with the societal ideal of what a mother's love should look like.
