“Enjoy your meal, friends.” He hissed. “For after today, you shall never see my abode again.”
The other beasts were honestly very shocked by this. As of late, Shadow Milk Cookie had greatly enjoyed showing off his spire to those who would look.
“But why?” Eternal Sugar Cookie asked. “You said you loved having us.”
That much was true. He’d always ensure their needs were met—below his own, of course, but the thought was there.
“I did!” Shadow Milk Cookie fell backwards. “But I’m afraid I cannot go on. Not without my other half here with me!”
Silent Salt Cookie recalled that cookie—Pure Vanilla Cookie, who insisted his name was the Truthless Reculse. Silent Salt Cookie had at first been angry with Shadow Milk Cookie for trapping the healer, but both insisted he stayed of his own volition.

Or: After the Truthless Recluse broke free from Shadow Milk Cookie’s cold grasp, Silent Salt Cookie’s last bit of Solidarity begins to wonder: can corruption really be ripped from the hearts of cookies?

Summary
It had been a year since the world had been touched into deceit. The sky, covered in blue and yellow eyes, stared down at the cookies in amusement as they fought and argued about what was true, if there was any truth in the world anymore.
White Lily Cookie stared into the sky, her brows curled in thought. Her friends had all been struggling for the past year to protect their kingdoms.
That is, almost all of them. Pure Vanilla Cookie had been missing for the entirety of the year. White Lily Cookie couldn't stop herself from feeling guilty. If she had just stayed with him before he entered that spire, he might be here to fight against the deceit, or even better, it might not of even gotten this bad.

Or; The ancient cookies go on a quest to beast-yeast after a year of deceit taking over the world to put and end to it all-and hopefully find their dear friend Pure Vanilla Cookie along the way.

Summary
Pure Vanilla could swear a voice not his had been in his head, a face not his in his reflection. No matter how hard he tries to tell himself nothing's wrong, there's always a feeling of dread and uncertainty in his words.
He soon has to face the reality that maybe he's never been alone when he and his company crash into Beast-Yeast only to find it completely demolished by a force he somehow recognizes.
Meeting new friends (and foes) along the way, truths he once knew all too well begin to crumble into nothing but deceit, and untruth worries he's had begin to become truer and truer. In all the chaos, Pure Vanilla can only wonder:

“Your friends,” Shadow Milk presented, “or the light of your Soul Jam? Which of these holds greater value to you?” He asked, his neck extended out unnaturally, sticking his face only centimeters from Pure Vanilla’s. “Really, which of these makes you who you are?”
“Pure Vanilla Cookie, don’t listen to him! He’s just trying to get in your head!” Gingerbrave yelled, “We can get out of this, just don’t worry about us—!” His mouth contorted inside itself as if he had swallowed the sourest Bear Jelly known to cookiekind. His friends followed in tow, silenced as quickly as they had been seized by the beast’s strings.
“Shshsh! The adults are talking!” Shadow Milk snapped, jerking his head back toward Pure Vanilla with his commonplace villainous grin. “Time’s up! Your choice is?”
Shadow Milk’s full control over the Spire of All Knowledge has sucked Pure Vanilla dry of any ounce of hope he may have had left, leaving him unable to decipher the difference between truth and deceit. With his faithful trio of young adventurers crumbling beneath him, and his fellow ancients heading straight toward the spire, Pure Vanilla is unable to stop his friends—and his—impending demise.
