What matters is this: Kazuma beneath him, hair splayed out over the pillow, cheeks tinted red (with blood, blood, blood; he's alive, alive, alive), the slightest arch to his back, eyes fluttered shut—eyelashes ghosting his skin—
What matters is that Kazuma is here, breathing. That Ryunosuke has the chance to appreciate him properly. That Ryunosuke is allowed to touch.
It seems wrong. All backwards. You don't touch anything especially precious, fragile, because you know the risk, that it might shatter under your fingers, that you may stain it beyond recognition. And you certainly don't position yourself above it in some display of inflated self-importance.
But this is how Kazuma pulled them down onto the futon; he presses their bodies together until the skin turns ghostly white. So this is how Kazuma wants it, and who is Ryunosuke to question him?

Good boy, Kazuma will say. Sometimes he's cradling Ryunosuke's cheek, running his thumb across it, back and forth, back and forth, always just barely skimming Ryunosuke's lower lip. Sometimes he'll say that just to press inside him, murmuring about how Ryunosuke deserves it, doesn't he? And it's so—it's not condescending, exactly, no, but there's a sweetness, a cloying sweetness, something like being spoiled. It's—good. It's really good.
And sometimes Ryunosuke's mind takes it further, tries to make it sweeter. Imagines Kazuma doting on him like that all the time. Imagines Kazuma really toying with him, making him beg, maybe, wouldn't that be nice? Just—all wrapped up in Kazuma, like he belongs to Kazuma, like he's just—like he's just—like he's just some pet.
Because that's it, isn't it? What else is talked down to, spoiled rotten, toyed with like that? The worst part, really, is how nice it sounds, just—being at Kazuma's beck and call, being his, being beneath him in every way. So embarrassing. So tempting.

He always says it a certain way, in this certain cadence, all honey-sweet and honey-slick, like it's sliding off his tongue and dripping onto Ryunosuke's skin, trickling down, leaving this sticky residue in its wake. Ryunosuke likes it. He really, really likes it. "I know," says Asogi. "Why else do you think I do that?"
