Summary
Benji didn't mean to stay in Mystic Falls. He was honestly just passing through to make sure that Damon hadn't killed their last living relative. As soon as he saw that Stefan was there, he planned to dip out. But when he comes across a sobbing boy on the fringes of a party in the cemetery, he can't find it in himself to leave.
It's a good thing he didn't know about all the chaos that would soon be unleashed on that tiny town someone aptly named Mystic Falls.

It was Stefan who placed the final blow and ended his second life forever. Benji comforted himself by diving headfirst into the evolving music scene of America.
