Clark suddenly felt a little left out, a spark of curiosity igniting in his buzzed mind. "Is it 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 good?" he asked, his voice a little softer than intended.
Bruce's eyes slowly, 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘺 turned to him, blinking even slower, as a lopsided, truly beatific smile spread on his lips. "Ya, babe. It's 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 nice," he murmured, his voice a low, soothing hum. "Helps ya think. Helps ya 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭."
Clark, feeling a delicious recklessness, somewhat second-guessed his previous refusal. He leaned into Bruce’s ear, his breath warm against Bruce's skin, and whispered, "Shotgun me."

Summary

Some nights he wants to barge inside Ghost’s room and beg him to just end it all, to smother Soap's misery gone. Soap can’t recall how he went through life before Ghost, but he can’t go on after him.
