Summary
In a world where science borders on sorcery, Jayce and Viktor push the boundaries of modern medicine with an experimental serum powered by nanotech, cellular regeneration, and Shimmer. It’s meant to heal all wounds, but it’s unstable, dangerous, and strictly off limits for human trials. At least, until everything goes wrong.

Summary
Jayce and Viktor are in a race against time as Viktor's illness grows progressively worse, and Jayce's responsibilities as Councilor take him away from the lab for longer and longer periods of time. At the end of his rope, Viktor returns to Zaun and accepts Singed's offer of a cure. No stranger to the monstrous, after all he has been working beside a werewolf for the past few years, he accepts the terrible cost. The cure keeps him from getting any worse but it doesn't fix what was already damaged, and it leaves him with a need for blood. A need Jayce is only too willing to supply for him.

Even after two years of working with Viktor Jayce is still surprised that they get along as well as they do. Usually urging two alphas to get along is like pulling teeth, but from the very first day, they had just clicked.
Even more surprisingly, there is something strangely soothing about Viktor's scent. More often than not, he is completely doused in the other alpha's pheromones, and it feels like home.If Viktor knows one thing for sure, it's that having Jayce as his partner is his own personal hell.
