Summary
“You don’t have to do this, you’re Robert’s priority. He doesn’t want anything to do this baby,” she says, but she’s not laughing at him or cursing him out.
If he were really Robert’s priority, he wouldn’t have cheated on him. But if he and Rebecca can work this out, he can forgive Robert. Maybe. Aaron’s willing to try, at least. “He will if it’s mine.”

Summary
Robert’s nails dig into Aaron’s thighs where he holds him steady, and Aaron hopes they’ll leave bruises tomorrow. He wants to take pictures of them, of Robert sprawled out beneath him like this, and stick them on every notice board in the village with the tagline Mine, but that wouldn’t really be in the spirit of the whole secrecy thing.
God, this was easier the first time around — when nobody had suspected them, when they could meet up in public in broad daylight and everyone would just think 'oh what dedicated business partners they are'.
People will talk now, Aaron’s sure of that. They’ll whisper about how 'Robert’s always been the sort' and 'poor Aaron gets hurt again' and they won’t have a clue that behind closed doors they still belong to each other in mind and soul and body.

Summary
Robert’s breathing gets worse before it gets better- shallow and erratic, like his body can’t decide if it’s trying to fight or run or shut down completely.
Aaron doesn't dare move closer, but he keeps his hands visible. Makes sure Robert sees all of him. He keeps talking to Robert, voice soft and steady, like he's talking someone down from a ledge- because in some ways, he is.
-
Aaron and Robert are together, and Kev is out of the picture, but his affect on Robert isn't.
Prison in general and Kev in particular have left a heavy mark on Robert, heavier than he allowed himself to admit. Good thing Aaron is with him, every step of the way.

Summary
Aaron is starting to get worried. Robert never responded to his text. He read it almost immediately but then nothing.
He’s not come back to the village yet either. He’s been gone for hours, even if he was away out somewhere for the day he should be getting back about now. It’s almost 7pm and he left with that guy around 10am that’s 9 hours unaccounted for, 8 of which he’s left Aaron on read. Which has literally never happened before.

Summary
Aaron felt like the human manifestation of a migraine. Vic looked as though she understood. “Right – so Robert is alone, in Whitby, with a mentally unstable gangster that’s got a jealous streak about a mile wide, who now knows his husband is cheating on him, and Robert has no idea how much danger he’s in?”
Vic winced. “That’s about it, yeah.”
Kev finds out about Robert and Aaron. Aaron and Vic go to Whitby to save the day.
