Summary
“What’s that you’re humming?” Buck’s voice drifted in from the hallway, where he had been straightening a pile of jackets that always seemed to accumulate on the banister. He appeared in the kitchen doorway, a playful smirk tugging at his lips.
Eddie glanced over his shoulder, the sunlight catching the flecks of gold in his brown eyes. “Just some children's song my abuela used to sing when we cleaned the house. Keeps me focused.” He shrugged lightly, though the soft smile he gave Buck said it meant more than that.
“Hmm, sounds nice,” Buck said, crossing the room to grab a dish towel. Without needing to ask, he began drying the dishes Eddie passed his way, their movements seamlessly in sync. The quiet choreography of familiarity.
Eddie laughed, shaking his head. “You wouldn’t say that if you knew the lyrics.”
Buck’s eyes lit up. “Wait, there are lyrics? Sing it for me!”Bookmarked by hades_666 (spacey666)

Summary
Eddie just had to drop his mask.
Eddie dropped the mask that he was holding and fiddling with
He had to crouch down to pick it up.
He crouched down on his heels on that stupid ground next to that stupid mask that he dropped. He sank to his heels as he was talking with Buck, who stood before him, about what happened minutes ago.
And God. Oh God. That was the worst decision he ever made in his life.
Because not a second later, his vision was blurred by a dark, crimson liquid that got into his eyes.
A dark, crimson liquid that came out of his best friend's shoulder.
The love of his life. His Buck.
Instead of Eddie being shot, it's Buck that gets the bullet to the shoulder. Eddie can feel his whole world falling apart. He can't lose his Buck.

Summary
“I just thought since your Bobby taught you, maybe you could teach me,” Chris shrugs.
“Yeah,” Buck breathes. “Yeah, I’d love to do that.”
Chris nods once, happy with the answer. “Can we do mac n cheese next?”
“Uh uh uh!” Buck tuts. “There’s a system. We start with breakfast.”Or, Buck passes Bobby's recipes down to Chris and finds a whole lot of other things in the process.

Summary
“Hey!” Buck says brightly, completely oblivious to Eddie’s irritation. His voice is filled with excitement as he continues. “Did you know that the ancient Greeks used tattoos to communicate among spies? They—”
“You didn’t do the dishes,” Eddie interrupts, not trying to hide or sugarcoat his annoyance. He’s fucking tired of this. He asked Buck to do one thing, and instead of doing it, Buck apparently went on another research binge.
Buck looks almost surprised when his eyes land on the dirty dishes, like he completely forgot they were there.
“Oh,” he says, huffing a small laugh. “Right. I got a little distracted. I’ll do them in a minute.”
“Will you?” Eddie asks with a bitter scoff, and Buck reels back slightly, clearly not having expected that reaction.
“I— Yes, I will,” Buck insists, and Eddie can’t help but scoff again.
Or: How living together leads to Eddie realizing Buck might have ADHD.
