Summary
That wasn’t the first time she’d ever found herself looking at a girl and thinking about how pretty they were. It wasn’t even the first time she looked at a girl and wanted to get closer. But it was the first time she looked at someone who wasn’t Liam and wanted to kiss them even though he was right downstairs. More than that, she looked at Gwen and thought that in all of the time that she and Liam had been together, she’d never felt something like this.
The suspicion started getting stronger after the second thought hit her that she couldn’t really see herself feeling something like this with him. Not just now, but ever.

“Ironic, isn’t it?” Liam doesn’t look up, but he jerks his head towards the window and the bright light that’s still flooding through it. “They talk about innocents like there are any of those left.”
“Innocence is relative,” Theo says. “And it’s easy for people to convince themselves that they’re innocent when they’re this afraid. The alternative…” He pauses. “No one wants to be the monster in their own story.”

Summary
Liam starts noting Theo’s… thing surrounding his neck a lot more after that night in the truck. Not in a bad way, or even a truly distracting one.
It’s just another one of Theo’s Theo-y quirks that Liam is learning to roll with. He’s got plenty of his own quirks that Theo is probably getting used to on his own end, but Liam doesn’t think he has anything that’s quite the equivalent of Theo’s preoccupation with his throat.
