Weirdly the place smells so good, unlike beta Changbin has ever smelt before. Even the desserts and coffee smells intensely delicious. Must just be a candle right? Changbin's never been good at smelling scents anyways.

Hyunjin falls for the beefy producer who comes in and desires his taste. Hwang Hyunjin is a little bit allergic to most people's scents, they're too overwhelming and give him the worst headache. “Give me my damn money back, Wooyoung.” Jin-Young commands. His hand squeezing the grip of his gun, knuckles white, and slowly aims it right back at Wooyoung. His finger slowly gets ready to cock it. A calculated misstep. A gasp that wasn’t entirely feigned. The coffee sloshed and dotted Changbin’s polished shoes.
"Oh," Hyunjin said in mock dismay, fluttering a hand to his chest. "How clumsy of me." He waited for a flinch, a curse, anything. But Changbin didn’t react. He just crouched and dabbed at the leather, methodical and impassive. Hyunjin crouched beside him, close enough to smell cedar. "Let me help, please."
Changbin caught his wrist mid-air. "Don’t." Their eyes met. Up close, Changbin’s looked void-dark.
Hyunjin wondered what it would take to break the stillness in their depths. Instead, he lingered just a second too long before withdrawing with a shrug and standing back up."You’re not much of a talker, are you?" Hyunjin asked, leaning lazily against the wall.
Changbin folded the ruined tissue and stood. "I talk when necessary."
"And I’m not ‘necessary’?"
"You’re my assignment."

Summary
Changbin doesn’t want to get his hopes up as he stands out on the balcony and stares out into the cold grey mist. He doesn’t remember fog being in the forecast but for some reason it feels like it belongs. Fog in his thoughts and fog in the streets, obscuring them from his view all the way up in his balcony, hiding what is yet to come for him. It’s scary, looking out over the edge of his safe little bubble of visibility down into the unknown.
Sometimes, taking a leap into the unknown is necessary.

“Han Jisung-ssi?” Minho greets him, polite and so pretty, and damn, even his voice is beautiful.
“Yeah, hey, nice to meet you,” Jisung says as he shoots up from his seat, his knee bumping into the table in the process and making the cup on it shake in response. Jisung winces as his cheeks heat up in embarrassment, and it really doesn’t help that Minho huffs a small laugh while he watches the whole thing unfold.
Great.
Not even a minute in and he’s already made a fool of himself.
“No need to be nervous, I won’t bite,” Minho mutters with a mischievous glint in his eyes, “Unless you ask me to.”
Jisung snorts, thankful for the alpha’s attempt to calm his nerves. He decides to play along, “Is that part of the contract or do I need to pay extra?”
Minho tilts his head as his lips stretch into a grin, “For a cute guy like you, it’s free of charge.”
Or, in which Jisung hires a fake boyfriend who might end up not being so fake after all.
