Well, he never really knew what they were but he knew they had been good. Back when it was just the two of them, young, wild, free, in that apartment and on tracks that meant a lot less than F1. Back when they were more than friends who lived together but less than family. Not quite sure of what they were. He was never as sure as Yuki was.

Part 3 : Yuki and Pierre
Pierre had big walls wrapped around his person, even more so around his heart, he only ever trusted Charles with who he truly was, and maybe Carlos. But Yuki was stubborn, so if Pierre wasn't about to hand him the key to the door, he was headstrong about breaking the walls.
